Transformers

I've decided to talk about Transformers, this isn't a review its more of a stress relief and general chat.
I am a big fan of Transformers and have been for a while; from the figures to the series and now to the blockbuster films. I still struggle to understand why the trilogy has got so much hate, i can understand regarding the second one but it was still an enjoyable film to watch. I think maybe because the Transformers are difficult to visualize in reality, think about it
for years the transformers have resembled vehicles that are almost block like; therefor making it easier to transform and create but what Michael Bay did was take these characters and put them in the real world which to me is amazing, you look at some of the robots they are beautifully designed and involves almost all of the cars interior and exterior. I recently read a review that slated the designs of the transformers saying that they didn't resemble the characters and to you i say this, go and Google the first ever image of Optimus prime and bring him to life, not just a sketch but a full model involving every part of the vehicle.
I actually attempted this as part of my school work and it wasn't easy, i had great ideas but ended up dropping them and using a simple vehicle.
I also think that some people fail to understand and appreciate that the transformers were originally toys, over the years people have adapted them into comics and cartoons but never to a live action film and i think Michael Bay had balls to do it because i think he knew that there would be people out there complaining about the looks and the vehicles "MEEHH BUMBLEBEE IS'NT A CAMARO HE'S A BEETLE!!"
shut up!
Transformers is owned by Hasbro and i think that people forget that the films promote new toys for the younger audiences and each film needs to introduce change so they can produce new toys and make money and that is why a 4th installment is being made so Hasbro can make MORE money by building toys that resemble the new looks from the new film. I was happy for them to change the looks of the characters, sure i was a bit gutted that Optimus didn't look the same but the franchise needed change and i'm not going to moan about it instead when the film comes out I'm going to enjoy it, if i don't (highly unlikely!) then i'll move on. Too many people slate films because THEY didn't enjoy them but that does not mean no body else can enjoy them. At school i mentioned that i liked Transformers and someone turned to me and said its shit and that i'm an idiot for liking them, i replied that its not and asked him what his favourite film is but i cant remember so for example lets say this twat said his favourite film is Twilight. I am not a fan of twilight but i don't criticize anyone who does like them because we all have different tastes in movies; however i'm pretty sure i could throw 10 arguments about why Twilight is shit but i'm going to leave that until later.
The main thing that bothers me is that Michael Bay gets a lot of shit from people about the trilogy, don't believe me? look on you tube I'm sure you'll find something there. But Michael Bay took a toy and built it into 3 awesome films and even spread the fan base worldwide like a plague; before the films i was 50/50 with transformers, i didn't mind it but i didn't hate it but when Transformers was released in 2007 i loved it even more and personally i can't think of anyone else who could have done the job i mean just look at the effects and the designs they are amazing!! why complain.
Obviously i am not saying that the Transformers are perfect, there were issues. I'll try and pick up the ones i can from each film but this is my opinion.

Transformers 2007- I don't remember much but i'm pretty sure it was awesome

Revenge of the Fallen 2009- the graphics weren't that amazing but still good in my opinion.
they didn't have a script so some of the dialogue was sloppy but i didn't care because some of it made me laugh and they made up for it with cool actions scenes.
the fallen was easily defeated!
Skids and mudflap were ok but i didn't really take a liking to them.
Errmmm i think thats all i can think of, there were probably plot holes but i honestly don't give a fuck about plot holes mainly because i don't notice them but even if i do I'm not going to stand up in the cinema and yell "NOOOO"

Dark of the moon 2011- New girl was introduced with a proper British accent who annoyed me at first but doesn't anymore.
too much human and a few pointless scenes, i found that Sam and Carly were relaxing too much on screen, like... her going to his workplace to give him red sweets.
Sam being interviewed by John Malkovich. if you took these scenes out i think it would have made the film a bit better and shorter, but its nothing thats kills me inside when i watch the film, do you know what i do instead of moaning? i carry on watching the film
Shockwave died to easily, there were banners of him in the cinema and online which suggested that he was going to be a main villain.... but he wasn't; he still had some cool scenes though.

The thing i like most about the Transformers trilogy except the kick ass actions. Is that Michael Bay splits the film into parts, this concerns the Dark of the moon more than the other 2 but look.
1)opening- Transformers
2)beginning- Humans
3)a bit more of transformers
4)then you join them together
5) beautiful action

this may be difficult to understand and i'm not sure if its just me (if it is then i look fucking mental)
this is from all 3 films

1) opening- Optimus opens with scene of all spark, the fallen, Cybertron
2) humans- Sam in school, Sam leaving for college, Sam trying to get a Job
3) Transformers- Bumblebee vs barricade, Nest-Galloway, Chernobyl
4) join together- Sam meets Autobots, Optimus dies, after sentinel is revived
5) Battle- Battle for the Allspark, Optimus kills the Fallen, Awesome 45 minute Battle by the pillars

Sometimes i do wish that they would chop out some of the human scenes but then that would get change the film entirely, these films need to include Human interaction of a normal life that is changed when the Autobots and Decepticons come but the way Michael Bay does it keeps me interested and anticipated for a scene involving the transformers but it also allows me to bond with the human characters; in all fairness it is their planet so they should have a decent role :P
the way i picture it is that imagine a film purely based on Cybertron, it would kick ass but thats not what the transformers are, they come to earth and the comics, the cartoons and the films are based on their interaction with the world but that doesn't mean a prequel isn't possible, in fact i think it is an awesome idea.

I absolutely love these films and can watch them again and again; I'm a person who enjoys films and doesn't slate them or watch shit films for the sake of it (apart from Sharknado!!)
I love the cast (Megan fox... meh) especially Peter Cullen (he's so fudging EPIC!!!), the CGI is outstanding and has brought the franchise alive in ways many people could not and last of all the action and the designs of the characters are superb.
I am really looking forward to the 4th installment, i'll admit it i am nervous but I am sure I will enjoy it and i suggest you guys enjoy it as well
Finally i just want to give Michael Bay a round of applause!
*clapping!!!*

thanks for reading!
until next time... i really like that "10 reasons why twilight it shit"
stay tuned :D
