Best Marvel Fights

There have been many marvel films all featuring some great action sequences filled with awesome CGI and fantastic stunts, today I thought it would be a good idea to talk about some of my favourite Marvel fights. Obviously there are loads so I have unfortunately restricted myself to 5 but a second part is plausible depending on if I enjoy writing this which I should because I get to look over some of my favourite Marvel scenes. I thought I would also mention that these are in no particular order, that just makes it difficult.

5) Spider-man vs Doc Ock- train fight
OK to start off, here is the link to the fight
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z00fTwhmYX0
this was one of the greatest Spider-man fights out of the trilogy because you get a real taste of his abilities and its just a very enjoyable scene with great CGI and some fantastic moments such as the clock fight at the beginning in which we see spider-man throw metal like a spear with his webs and blocking a clock arm with his ankles. Obviously this fight is without faults like Doc Ock's ability to keep his glasses on... I wish I could do that.
Anyway it is an amazing fight that defies physics and breaks the boundaries of normality but thats what superhero films are there for, I do suggest watching the clip because it is great fun and a definite highlight of the film as well as the bank scene which was also good. Compared to the other fights this one is particularly good because Spidey is in a way at the peak of his abilities after he lost them so he fights better and they really expand on that by pushing him to his limits to the point where he stops a train and they captivate it brilliantly especially because this is the first time Doc Ock has been used in a live action so they really had to show him off, make him real and make him a worthy opponent who would be memorable, this scene definitely did it for me and despite Sam's errors and cheesy script the film was great.

4) wolverine- funeral fight/ train
http://youtu.be/LjoGwzsyA1s
There are 2 fights to this film that stand out and I thought it would be a great idea to merge them together considering they are right next to each other, so the link only shows a snippet unfortunately. I'll start off by saying that the Wolverine was awesome and what was unique about the fights compared to the other fights in Origins and the X-men films is that Logan is fighting for his life this time and thats an aspect completely unfamiliar to audiences which created a really interesting fight, plus there were ninjas which always helps and whilst Logan was wounded he still managed to kick ass, despite the train scene being completely unrealistic it was great, it was clever and the CGI was very impressive for a complex scene however out of the 2 I do prefer the funeral fight because we got a closer look to Logans abilities, I felt he was quite restricted in the x-men films because he had to share the screen so in his own film we got a taste of Logan's fighting and it worked very well, my favourite bit is probably a section where Wolverine flips a guy after stabbing him in the leg. What also helps this scene is Yukio who was a great addition to the film, she had amazing acrobatic skills and I just wish they could have combined them with wolverine, a mini partnership perhaps I think that would have worked great against multiple enemies and it would have been a great twist to Wolverines character, he's never needed help before. But overall this fight gave us some great fighting sequences that showed us a new wolverine, the only problem I have with wolverine is that I think he could make a great film that is more gory, if you play the game its insane and obviously due to the audience they had to restrict it but I would like to see some more stuff like cutting off hands or something that really shows off Logans powers and raw strength.

3) Avengers- main battle sequence
http://youtu.be/Y69kGmPeHw0
This is a snippet of probably my favourite part in which we get a good look at the team work among the Avengers which was obviously very crucial in this film because throughout a lot of the film it was all about the small rivalry between individual characters such as Stark and Rogers so seeing the teamwork between them way very good and plus we got a look at all the characters. The entire battle is roughly 15 minutes which is great and it is spectacular, the CGI is amazing and clever because a lot of it was done by taking thousands of photos which is very clever because that meant they could expand the battle whilst using an "Ironman" type perspective. The highlight I would say is either the appearance of the Hulk where he smashes one of the giant floating snake things or where we see the 2 strongest characters fighting together, Thor and Hulk. The only thing that bothers me about this type of fight and I think it would be the same for others is that your favourite character may not get the screen time you wanted, I love Thor he is epic and I wanted to see more but I felt he got a fair amount of screen time and they used it wisely especially when he summons lightning on top of a tower which was awesome so I think its fair to say that we go a great look at each character in action and as a finale the battle was fantastic. It gave us everything we wanted, fighting, team work, Hulk, lightning and flying with explosions and even comedy. It's a fun enjoyable scene that ends the film brilliantly, I'm just wondering now if they can top it in Avengers 2. Oh yeah how could I forget Hulks little brawl with Loki which was one of the funniest bits in the entire film and for future references I do think its over for those 2, they need a fair fight. What would have completed the entire fight is a fight between the characters and loki we got a Thor vs loki and Loki vs cap but it would have been great for Loki to get more involved in the alien invasion and take part.

2) the Incredible Hulk- Harlem
unfortunately I could find a clip to this but I do advise watching the film because its brilliant, it offers a new unique take on the hulk, one that we are not familiar with and one that is different compared to Mark Avengers interpretation even though they follow each other in the "series"
What makes this one different is that Hulk isn't as big as we've seen and he's not as strong which makes an interesting fight when it comes to battling the Abomination who is clearly superior in this.
Both fight scenes in this are great but the Harlem brawl is definitely the better one because he is facing an opponent who has never been used in the film so the anticipation of the design made the fight a lot more exciting and honestly he looked great, I'm glad they didn't make him look like a fish despite that being his comic appearance. What is also interesting about this fight is that Hulk gets his ass handed to him, he thrown, punched and smashed all over the place but they incorporate the hulk law, the angrier he gets the stronger he gets, this is shown brilliantly when his friends are in trouble plus the scene is supported by sinister music from Craig Armstrong who made the hulk a very dark character with his music. Despite being very different from the comics there are things that hit home like him being angry and his famous quote "Hulk Smash!" but I have to be honest I love this Hulk, he's different to what I imagined and its almost like his powers were dimmed down because he is weakened in this however he does make an awesome comeback proving his true strength despite his injury... I know what your thinking, Hulk! injured, not possible. Well it happens, he is stabbed and he bleeds I had a mixed view on it because the way I see Hulk is that he is an unstoppable machine and we're not really given that although the character design is superb and they do make him considerably just not enough in my opinion. One thing that stood out in the Halem fight was of course the fighting, its brutal! it was well choreographed as they used motion capture for this so that allowed them to create a more real and fluent fight plus focus on small details such as muscle flexes, skin movement and sweat. This is probably one of my favourite fights I love watching it but never watch it on TV before 10, they always cut out the best bits!!!!

1) Thor- Jotunheim brawl
http://youtu.be/p-BNpS63KI4
Ah Thor! you knew we was going to appear somewhere in this post, I made room for him. Despite the lack of superhero action in Thor I actually really enjoyed it mainly because of the character development and the interesting change that Thor goes through, first we are presented with an arrogant warrior who dreams of a good war but by the end we get a god who has learned and become a better person. The scene I am talking about is the fight on Jotunheim, Thor seeks answers about their broke truce and obviously it was a perfect opportunity to get what he wanted. This scene doesn't go on for long but it included everything I wanted to see
Lightning
Mjolnir doing awesome stuff
Christ Hemsworth being awesome
Giant Ice creatures
Over powered Thor
In that scene you really get a taste of what Thor is capable of, he spins his hammer around and takes out 7 Jotunn's, he summons lightning and crushes the floor around him. He is very powerful in this scene and thats what makes it an amazing fight, what is also good is seeing the other characters fight like Loki and Sif but I would have preferred more Thor, its a shame that this is really the only scene where you experience Thor's true power and like I have explained you get small doses in Avengers and Thor 2, I just wanted more- something to really show the true power of Mjolnir and this scene is the closest you get because Thor becomes a lot more responsible with his powers which is great but... I want to see some awesome stuff. Especially for the first Thor film I think a lot of people worried about it because of the character, he's not a superhero, he's a god but this scene put me at peace because it was visually awesome, fun and exciting. If I were to pick a favourite I would have to say this one mainly because I like Thor and this scene gave me exactly what I needed.

I did have a few more planned that were debatable:
Thor vs Iron Man
Incredible Hulk- university scene
Spider-Man 3
Iron Man 2 drone
Iron Man 3

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed! please feel free to comment your favourite Marvel fight if you want to.
Until Next time!
